young love

so long story short, I broke up with my boyfriend since my parents read our conversations and since i said "i love you" they now think that it is a toxic relationship where he wants my attention (to clarify we were having a heated discussion since he wouldn't tell me something and i said something along the lines of "i don't care what you've done, i love you" and yea)

and it wasn't the first time one of us had said that. parents flipped, i cried and cried and then 4 days after our 3 months, we broke up. We're still really good friends and i trust him so so much. he understood about my parents (fortunately) and we're close.

but what annoyed me about this whole damn encounter, was that since i'm fifteen, it is not possible for me to love anyone aside from my parents, siblings, pets and my best friend. i believe that love for another person can develop at any age, its not like you turn 21 and OH SHIT I CAN FINALLY LOVE MY BOYFRIEND I AM AN ADULT AND SOCIETY AND THE OLDER GENERATIONS WILL NOT SHUN ME FOR IT. i shouldn't have to break up with someone who meant so much to me an still does due to my parents transparent views.

another of their reasons for this was that fifteen year old boys only want attention of pretty girls and that he was only sticking around for attention and that the second we broke up, he wouldn't care a bit. that's called stereotyping if you haven't heard. which seems to be against society's law in this modern day and age. my parents don't care.

thanks for listening to all that,
dion xx

disclaimer:
i love my parents very much and they were only trying to protect me. i disagree with how they went about protecting me but they always want the best for me and they love me very much too. just clearing that up in case.
